Yesterday in the morning, the spring ball tournament was held at the Cole Center, which was highly anticipated by the students. A variant of dodgeball was played. From us 9 classes participated and BIesalski School traditionally also sent a competition team to this event.
After a few weeks of preparation in physical education classes, the children know the rules very well. They played against each other fairly and according to the rules. In sports, this offer is the highlight of the year for many children. It was loud … very loud!!! Even younger grades came as spectators….
The 5. and 6th grades played among themselves a winning team. The class 6. 1 could win the tournament.
The 4th graders played against each other in their grade level, as the age differences in performance have become the 5. and 6th grades still too big. Something happened here that has never happened in the long tradition of the tournament. All three classes scored the same number of points, so we were able to declare three winning teams. Unfortunately we had only for one 4th grade gold medals. These are now being reordered.
After a final candy shower, the mood was good and many children were looking forward to the next extraordinary thing that day: the art auction in the afternoon!
