Last Friday, despite the bad weather forecast (which only partially materialised), our art auction took place. The exhibition of the submitted pictures was presented in seven categories in the sports hall. With delicious food and drink, which the individual classes spontaneously moved from the courtyard to the canteen, all families and visitors were able to fortify themselves until the auction started at around 3.30 pm. Mrs Baron from the Förderverein gave us great support!
It’s been a week since the art auction and we are still overwhelmed by the great response! Thank you so much for the huge support!!! It all worked out so wonderfully and it shows once again what a great campus and mega school community we are! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!
We have used the past week to sift through all the bid slips, analysed them and contacted the highest bidders. All the artworks are now waiting to be collected. For this purpose, the persons contacted are welcome to contact Mrs Hauke (verwaltung@qbgs.de).

We presented a total of 169 pictures during the event and auctioned off 107 of them for a whopping total of 7311.70 euros – WAHNSINN!!!!
In addition to this huge sum, there were also the partial proceeds from the food stands and the Biesalski stand. This sum literally catapults us out of the mural hope cloud and into the true mural reality and we are really happy about that!
This would not have been possible without the help of the organising team, the beautiful artworks of each and every one of you and the generous bidders – this help and participation is absolutely not to be taken for granted! Many, many thanks for that!
Now we have to inform the education authority and the Object Management of the district that we can realise our plan. So we hope that the next step can be realised soon… So it’s … to be continued. 😉
